What the job is

Over-the-road, Team or Solo, hauling Amazon Relay freight. You'll run 2,000+ miles a week and get paid every week — the full amount, with no deductions you have to call and ask about.

This is a long-haul position. You'll be out two weeks or more at a time. We say that up front because it's the single biggest reason a driver and a carrier turn out not to fit, and we'd rather find that out now than after you've started.

  • 80 CPM for teams, 65–70 CPM for solo

  • 2,000+ miles every week

  • Weekly pay — no hidden deductions, no escrow games

  • Amazon Relay dry van freight

  • Nationwide freight across the continental U.S.

What Amazon Relay means for you

Not every freight network is the same to drive for. Here's what ours actually looks like from the seat:

Dry van only

No tarps. No chains. No straps. No climbing on a trailer in the rain.

Less time at the gate

App check-in and in-yard instructions cut dwell time at the gate and in the yard.

You don't touch freight

Warehouse staff load and unload. Your job is to drive.

Facilities run around the clock

Amazon sites operate 24/7, so your available hours aren't stuck waiting for a shipper to open at 8am.

Mostly drop & hook

Pre-loaded trailers waiting when you arrive. Some live loads, but not many.

Standardized loads

Same freight, same process, every load. Not a new puzzle every day.

Amazon runs on tight appointment windows. That's real, and we won't pretend otherwise — but it also means the schedule is predictable, and we plan your loads around it instead of leaving you to figure it out.

We ask your lanes before you take a load

Most carriers hand you whatever's left on the board and call it dispatch.

We start with a conversation. Before you take your first load, we sit down and go through it: which parts of the country you like running, which ones you'd rather stay out of, and anything you want excluded entirely. Then we build your routes around that.

It's not a promise that every load will be perfect. It's a promise that we asked first, and that the person who asked is the same person who answers when you call.

  • CDL-A with 1+ year of verifiable commercial driving experience

  • Clean driving record — we pull your MVR

  • Ready to run strictly OTR — out 2+ weeks at a time. This is not a regional or local position.

  • Available to start within one week

What we need from you

If you're looking for regional or daily home time, we're not the right fit, and we'd rather tell you that here than three calls in.

Who we are

Cronus Carriers is a small, family-owned trucking company based in Chicago. We're not a mega carrier.

That means a few things in practice. There's no driver manager rotation — you'll deal with the same people every week, and those people are the ones who own the company. When something goes wrong at 2am, you're not filing a ticket into a queue. And when we say we'll ask what you need, it's because we're small enough to actually do something about the answer.

We're hiring Team and Solo CDL-A drivers now for our Amazon Relay fleet.
